This sweet mug and plate set is hand painted in a uplifting lily of the valley design. Perfect for enjoying an afternoon cuppa and biscuit in the garden.
Lily of the valley is one of the floral symbols of Helston town in Cornwall and is worn by the dancers and people of the town when attending Helston Flora Day in May each year.
Flora Day has always been an important one in my calendar. We lived in Helston for a number of years and my youngest daughter was born there.
Each year I have a commemorative china stall outside The Angel pub opposite the town hall and we have an amazing time meeting past customers and welcoming new ones.
Hand painted in my little wooden studio in the garden.
